Note: In celebration of Disney’s Tomorrowland opening in theaters on May 22, Quest for Vault Disney is taking a decade by decade look at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland. In Part 1 we looked at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland as it stood on Opening Day, July 17, 1955. Part 2 looked at the evolution and development of the land from July 18, 1955 through the end of calendar year 1964, while Part 3 looked at the ten years of 1965-1974. Today we’re finishing our tour of attractions removed from ExtinctAttractionLand by taking a quick look at an attraction that not intended to be brought back. Come with me as we leave the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and walk across Tomorrowland, past the Space Mountain entrance, to the Magic Eye Theater. (more…)

Hello, and thanks for stopping by again. This is place where I look back at the way Disney was in the past, how how it could look in the future. My goal is to focus on broadcast shows, park attractions and the people who helped shape both.

On September 18. 1986 Captain EO opened at Disneyland inside Tomorrowland in the Magic Eye Theater. It starred Michael Jackson in the title role, with (more…)
