Happy birthday? Happy Anniversary?
Today is July 17. What oh what am I going to write about today? Yes, I think I shall. Lets look at the 58th anniversary of the dedication of Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
Just one year and a day after Walt Disney announced to a national television audience, Walt Disney presented his park to a list of invited friends, dignitaries, and gate crashers (the third group seldom gets noticed). (more…)
Big Bands at Disneyland
Hello, and welcome back to my thoughts and ramblings. Growing up, my favorite station on TV was The Disney Channel, if you haven’t figured that out by now. Even at five, going on six, I loved being able to see anything about Disneyland in particular, especially as we got closer to a family vacation to Anaheim. Any show would do. Even, and especially, Big Bands at Disneyland.
